  • How do I sleep in the nether

  • October 8th, 2012 was the first day.

I heard it was impossible to sleep in the nether because your bed will keep blowing up. If it’s impossible then is there a way to save your place so that if you die you respawn in that location. For example is there a SPC command that can let me do that?

No, the SPC command is /sethome (For the mod at least, vanilla is /setspawn) But, say if you used /home or /spawn in the overworld. You’ll be teleported to the overworld coords of the nethers coords of where you set your home. (Vice versa too)

To all of you people who think Notch is still working on the game, he stopped working on Minecraft in late 2011. Get your facts straight and stop spamming his twitter about Minecraft updates.

Impossible, unless (as mentioned above me) you use mods or commands.

That being said, I think vanilla commands can’t teleport between the normal world and the Nether, but stepping into any portal THEN tp’ing will still work.

Sleep in the Overworld, right next to your Nether Portal. Have the Portal connect directly to your Nether Base. This means that when you respawn, you’ll just have to take a few seconds to change dimensions, and then you’re back at your base.

So I used /setspawn and it said spawn point set but when I died it just repsawn in the last bed I slept in (the one in the overworld). Why doesn’t it spawn I set it to?

because the /spawnpoint command changes your original spawnpoint. beds override the original, so delete a bed

Doesn’t work. It says my bed is either mission or obstructed and then it randomly spawns me.

You cannot sleep in The Nether because there is no day-night cycle there (hence why there is the burning beds) if you do wish to set your house though Single Player Commands 1.3.2 can allow you by using /home command in the talk box.

You must have a mod or some kind to make the nether night. Nether never have nights. You can never sleep without a mod.

Sorry, but without cheating, or using a modification, you cannot sleep in the Underworld.
