“Without succumbing to wistful reminiscence, it becomes strikingly evident that this game transcends time. The inclusion of cross-play would elevate it to the pinnacle of perfection for my personal gaming experience. Nevertheless, even in its current state, my affection for this game knows no bounds.” … Read the comprehensive review.
“Vicarious Visions and Blizzard Entertainment have achieved something truly extraordinary with Diablo II: Resurrected. It surpasses being a mere homage and instead serves as a testament to the timeless nature of the original game, despite its aging aspects. This makes Diablo II: Resurrected a thoughtful endorsement, catering to both seasoned players of the original and newcomers alike who are eager to explore its captivating world.” … Read the complete review.

“While Diablo II may not have undergone significant graphical enhancements since its initial release in 2000, Blizzard’s timeless classic ARPG has gracefully matured, offering an enduringly captivating and enjoyable adventure.” … Read the complete review.
“Effortlessly catapults an icon into the contemporary age, with its captivating gameplay remaining as brilliant as ever. However, despite surpassing the shortcomings of Warcraft III: Reforged, Resurrected fails to address lingering uncertainties surrounding its array of features and enduring community backing.” … Read the comprehensive review.

“Diablo 2 has made a grand comeback in its Resurrected form, captivating both purists and young adventurers seeking thrilling challenges. The visuals have undergone a complete overhaul, with every detail meticulously reimagined to awe-inspiring levels, resulting in a feast for the eyes. The game’s signature insanity-infused atmosphere remains intact, though the storytelling may feel a tad dated. The gameplay, on the other hand, has retained its nerve-racking, addictive nature that lures players in like a devilish enchantment, albeit with some slightly outdated ergonomics. Nonetheless, the sheer joy of reliving this legendary experience under enhanced conditions that align with the times of 2021 is undeniably irresistible.”
If you manage to avoid the technical and server-related issues of the game, Diablo II: Resurrected offers a refreshing take on the classic action RPG. It stays true to the 2000 PC classic, with some added accessibility options and a modern makeover. However, players who are new to the game or accustomed to Diablo III may feel restricted with keyboard and mouse controls, and the absence of modern conveniences may dampen their enthusiasm. Nevertheless, once the initial hurdles are overcome, Diablo II can be a valuable addition to any ARPG collection. And if you’re someone who values review scores, you can expect the number to rise as the necessary fixes are implemented…. Read the complete review for more insights.

“Diablo 2: Resurrected proves itself to be a loyal remaster of the beloved original. The revamped visuals and captivating cinematics successfully preserve the eerie ambiance of Sanctuary’s nightmarish creatures and captivating narratives. However, in the face of two decades of gaming advancements, these aspects alone struggle to impress. Tedious gameplay mechanics, incessant trading and purchasing, restrictive controls, outdated character designs, and a fussy user interface all contribute to this adventure feeling antiquated. To truly revive the classic, a more comprehensive set of modern improvements should have been implemented. While Diablo enthusiasts may revel in this remaster, it may not resonate as strongly with others.” … Read the full review.

Blizzard has truly outdone themselves with the exceptional remaster of my all-time favorite game! Now, after a couple of months since its release, all the pesky server errors have been skillfully eliminated, making the gaming experience even more enjoyable.
This game is truly remarkable and stands out as one of the finest I’ve experienced. It maintains the essence of the original while enhancing the visual elements with breathtaking graphics. It flawlessly embodies the vivid image I had envisioned back in 2002. The initial release was decent in my humble opinion. As for the criticisms, they seem utterly absurd to me. My only inconvenience was the inability to play the game online for a single day, but thereafter, it functioned flawlessly and provided an enjoyable experience.
Input: Diablo is an absolute work of art. It would have been great if you incorporated some innovative elements from modern action RPGs into the mechanics expansion. The visual modifications, however, only deserve a modest 5 out of 10.

Adore the game, despise battlenet. Surely, there must exist a legal quandary concerning their server management, resulting in the absence of TCP IP gameplay.
The game seems to have malfunctioned, leaving the servers inaccessible for a staggering six hours each day. Surprisingly, there has been a complete lack of communication from Blizzard regarding this issue.
Blizzard games of today embody everything I anticipated – unplayable experiences plagued by persistent server rollbacks, heavy censorship, and an abundance of bugs.
Also,.
Also,. while some small quality changes were added – they basically removed the reason for longevity of the game:
1) Picture an ARPG devoid of any ascension apparatus – absurd, isn’t it? Haha! 2) Bid farewell to the realm of mod support – for those who’ve indulged in the realms of PoD or Medium, those days are but a memory now. Longing to embark on a solitary quest for precious loot? Alas, the era of pluggy has come to an end.
Embrace it as it is, yet if you cherished d2, indulge in a vintage edition. It undeniably thrives as an immensely superior game compared to this.
UPDATE: Despite the ongoing queue and repeated crashes, I strongly advise against purchasing this game! UPDATE: Fortunately, Blizzard has resolved the issue, but unfortunately, fast game creation is no longer possible. Furthermore, trading with other servers has become a tedious process due to the excessive 400-person queue, resulting in a 45-minute wait time just to trade a single item. It is truly astonishing to witness the failure of such a renowned company in every aspect. I can only hope that they will become a mere penny stock within the next five years.
What a fantastic game! It’s such a shame that this failcompany lacks proper IT infrastructure for their servers. Can you believe it? They’ve been offline for 80% of the past four days, without any explanation, mind you, just three weeks after the game’s release. All I can say is, indie company or not, they remind me of Blizzard. And you know what? I actually sold my Activision stocks today because my trust in this company has diminished over the years.
