To delve into the realm of agriculture in Minecraft, it is imperative to fashion a hoe. This versatile tool is indispensable for farming, especially if you seek to sustain your health and hunger bar in survival mode. Our comprehensive tutorial on hoe-crafting features a user-friendly, step-by-step guide to aid you on your farming journey.
A mere five minutes is all
Crafting a hoe in Minecraft requires simple steps that involve gathering wood, making planks and sticks, and assembling them together. Follow our detailed instructions below to master this essential tool-making process.
If you’ve already gotten yourself an Axe, then you can chop down some trees and skip some of these steps. However, if you’re just starting out, then it’s time to punch! Find just about any tree that is nearby and gather some logs from it by punching or chopping.
Open up your inventory and place the wood logs into the crafting area. Each log will create four planks, and we’ll need seven in total if you don’t have a Crafting Table already.
Take four of your planks and fill up the crafting space in your inventory. This will give us a Crafting Table!
Now we’re going to two sticks. Place two wood planks into your Crafting Table or crafting area in your inventory. Stack the planks on top of each other to get four sticks!
We have all the ingredients we need, so we just need to put it all together. If you haven’t already, place your Crafting Table on the ground somewhere (you can pick it up again by punching or hitting it with a tool). Open it up and place two sticks starting at the bottom up the middle. Then take one of the wood planks and place it at the top middle!
The essential know-how for crafting a simple wooden hoe is all yours! However, it’s advisable to acquire a Pickaxe and gather cobblestone posthaste to advance to a stone hoe, which boasts greater durability and efficiency. With further progression in the game, you can even level up to crafting iron, gold, diamond, or netherite hoes!
Crafting a hoe is a crucial step in your journey towards self-sufficiency in the game. With this trusty tool, you can till the land and sow seeds, growing your own wheat to ultimately bake delicious loaves of bread. This early food source will prove invaluable as you navigate the challenging early stages of the game.
