Enormous quantities give rise to slimes in superflat maps, and dealing with them can become exceedingly monotonous. Managing them involves three commonly employed techniques, although the first two are outdated approaches. The initial one is to construct walls or barriers around areas where you want to keep slime-free. Barriers would impede all slimes as well as any other creatures, or spaced columns of soil two blocks tall with a one-block gap between each column will prevent medium and large slimes from entering while still allowing other creatures (including harmless tiny slimes) to pass through. The second common technique is to build a slime pit or a ‘slime cage’ that ensnares any slime that mistakenly enters it, thereby controlling the issue by confining the slimes to specific locations. Iron golems have an attracting effect on slimes, so incorporating an iron golem into the slime cage will significantly enhance the capture rate (enclosing the iron golem with fences will prevent it from killing the slimes). Lastly, there is a third method for versions 1.9 and above. This version utilizes a clock with a command block. If the absence of any slimes is desired, then the world can simply be generated with a surface y level above 40, which will prevent slime spawns.

In various regions, it is generally more advantageous to create multiple pits of medium size rather than constructing a single massive pit. If the size of the pit is around the minimum practical dimension of 4×4, larger slimes approaching from an angle will not be able to fall into it. To ensure that slimes already present in the pit do not occasionally push new arrivals away before they can enter, the recommended size is approximately 7×7. The pit is designed with a one-block lip, ensuring that it measures 5x5x3 and has been excavated down to the bedrock.

A good tip to maximize the number of non-slime farmable mobs appearing in an area by luring more or fewer slimes into slime pits is to control the numbers of mobs that appear by this method. Normally, mobs of all types will start reappearing elsewhere shortly before dawn or shortly before nightfall, so it is recommended to do this. When you want to stop spawning new mobs, simply move away from the slime pit by more than 128 meters to largely reduce the spawn rate of mobs in that area. This will ensure that the slimes are trapped rather than killed, as the key idea behind both trap types is to ensure that the slimes are behind the trap.
One minor tip to ensure that you are constantly jumping in areas outside of earshot is to wear a very fitting attire, which can also help you avoid the sound of dozens of slimes in the pits you have dug.
Note that if you enclose an entire village inside a single wall, it is highly probable that there will be at least one chunk inside the village where slime-spawning blocks are allowed, enabling you to place slime blocks in certain areas and prevent them from re-entering and exiting the village, thus keeping their numbers manageable.
The player can also push slimes into lava pits. Although this is the most practical mode in creative, the player can push a slime away from other areas or the village by using snowballs.
Moats are a nice and easy way to look good and build in Minecraft 1.13. They can be used to fill a moat with lava, which destroys all kinds of mobs, although the downside is that it also destroys any items they drop. If there are a lot of nearby villages, the player might be able to fill the moat with water using bubble columns to pull down other mobs and slimes. Dry moats will fail to kill slimes and capture other mobs. However, they provide a complete barrier against slimes, making them completely harmless to mobs and players. To kill all kinds of slimes, the moat should be three blocks deep and three blocks wide. It will only drown the smallest ones, but a deep-block moat will freeze them, simply stopping them in their tracks. For slimes that cannot drown, the moat uses the same principle as a pit slime.
Command block auto-killer (Creative with cheats only)
This simple trick can be achieved by using the /tp or /kill command on the slimes that teleport into the void. By activating the repeating command block with the command [type=minecraft:slime] @e /tp or [type=minecraft:slime] @e /kill, the slimeball drops are stopped on the second command.

Turning on Peaceful Mode
One alternative method to prevent various effects of in-game starvation, including the spawning of hostile mobs, is to switch to the ‘peaceful’ mode where monsters do not appear.
